Our Commitment

At the Volcker Alliance, we commit to investing in a long-term effort to meaningfully diversify government. We work to empower public servants from diverse backgrounds and support them to reach positions of influence in government. We believe that only through the inclusion and elevation of diverse perspectives can government identify and act on the best solutions to our nation’s most complex challenges.

Our Approach

This belief drives our approach across initiatives and partnerships. In our research projects, we collaborate with university and government partners to generate insights that propel diversity in government hiring. We share best practices in hiring and recruiting a diverse public workforce and champion stories of individual initiative and personal success through service. Through the Next Generation Service Corps, we expose and connect diverse, talented undergraduates to opportunities in public service. In collaboration with the Deans Summit, we elevate strategies to address structural racism on campus and support rising leaders of color with the aim of diversifying the university leadership pipeline.
