Jackie Speedy headshot

Jackie Speedy joined the Volcker Alliance in March 2026, where she provides expertise and strategic guidance to support initiatives focused on public service education, leadership development, and constructive dialogue. She also contributes to program strategy efforts across the Alliance’s portfolio.

Prior to joining the Volcker Alliance, Jackie served as Associate Dean of Academic Programs at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. As a member of the College’s senior leadership team, she oversaw the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of the College’s professional master’s programs across the Schools of Public Policy and Management and Information Systems and Management. She championed a holistic, student-centered approach while fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration at the intersection of people, public policy, and technology.

Over nearly two decades at Heinz College, Jackie helped shape and scale a globally recognized portfolio of programs spanning Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Australia, with a focus on academic quality, innovation, and student outcomes.

She began her career at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership and has been recognized for her civic engagement, including being named one of Pittsburgh Magazine’s “40 Under 40.”

Jackie holds a Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College.
