Government Talent Innovation Roundtable

On Tuesday, January 30, the Volcker Alliance hosted the Government Talent Innovation Roundtable, a virtual event to showcase the work of several Alliance partners that are pushing boundaries in the government talent space. Topics covered included digital tools to strengthen the talent pipeline into government, rebranding government jobs, and expanding awareness of public sector opportunities.

Brian Whittaker of Humans of Public Service spoke to his recent work documenting the stories of diverse public servants and sharing these videos across social media. Brian Wallace and Kay Love of Georgia City Solutions discussed the impact of their pilot program to develop new municipal hiring and retention strategies with small municipalities in the state. Alex Morgan and Lukas Parrish of the Mid America Regional Council presented the Talent Connections Toolkit, a new resource to help higher education and government partners connect and lead more students into public service.
