Empowering and Inspiring Public Servants
The Volcker Alliance, founded by former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Paul A. Volcker, is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the public sector workforce to solve the challenges facing our nation.

Special Briefing: Strategies for Closing the US Infrastructure Gap
From the deteriorating Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn, New York, to the aging dams that supply about 70 percent of California’s water, America’s public infrastructure is badly in need of fixing. The nation is estimated to have accumulated about $1 trillion in deferred infrastructure maintenance, and even more will be needed to rebuild or retrofit roads, water plants, schools, and electrical grids to withstand the punishments of increasingly extreme weather. Join our panel of experts as we discuss the state of America’s infrastructure and how some states are developing strategies to better identify and fund needed investments.

Who We Are
As the stewards of Mr. Volcker’s legacy, we envision a public sector workforce with the experience, preparation, and commitment to ensure government is accountable and delivers with excellence.

Our Approach
Our work is organized into four “lenses” to advance our mission. Our most impactful initiatives cut across all lenses, educating, empowering, connecting, and inspiring current and future public servants.

Our Work
We promote innovation in public service education, connect talent to government jobs, empower leaders to build the democracy of our future, and inspire others with the story of Paul Volcker's commitment to public service.
