James Fields joined the Volcker Alliance in September 2026 as associate director of events and communications. In this role, he leads the planning and execution of the Alliance’s convenings and develops communications that extend the reach of its work. 

Before joining the Alliance, James founded Solutions Advocates, a consulting firm focused on organizational strategy and communications. He later served as chief of staff and director of operations at National Action Network, where he managed executive operations and major national events. James is also a United States Navy veteran.
