Emily S. Bolton
Emily S. Bolton joined the Volcker Alliance in 2013 and currently serves as the chief strategy officer. She has over fifteen years of experience in domestic and international economic development. She has worked for Mr. Volcker twice previously, on the independent panel he chaired to review the World Bank department that investigates fraud and corruption in Bank projects, and on the independent investigation he led into the United Nations Oil-for-Food Programme. From 2007 to 2012, she worked for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a national nonprofit organization that has facilitated and financed $18.6 billion in community development in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods since 1980, where she was the founding director of a national program to respond to foreclosure. Among other positions, she also worked for the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative in Africa and for a public defender in Harlem. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Harvard University and a master of business administration from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
