Chicago G2U Regional Council
The G2U effort in Chicago is led by the Government College Relations Council (GCRC). Founded in 1968, the mission of GCRC is to foster career-related communication and cooperation between college and government communities through the dissemination of new and relevant information and the formation of mutually beneficial relationships. GCRC’s primary goals are to:
Assist college students and graduates find career-related jobs with government employers.
Help government employers find educated and skilled employees to meet their hiring needs.
Provide professional development and networking opportunities to promote communication among GCRC members.
With support from the Volcker Alliance, the GCRC is undertaking focused research on high need topics pertaining to recruitment and hiring, facilitating engagement with new stakeholders, and expanding the reach Government College Relations Council’s signature public sector job fair.
